The Roomba j7+, iRobot’s most intelligent robot to date, is the Roomba J7+. 2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking for a robotic vacuum cleaner that can do more than simply clean your floors then a hybrid is the best choice. This category of bots typically has a built-in water tank that allows them to vacuum and mop your home at the same time. These bots also come with various additional features, including smart mapping and small object avoidance and the possibility of washing and re-drying mopping pads. The negative is that they tend to be expensive when purchased at full retail, but during Black Friday and Cyber Monday they usually drop in price.
Roborock is the manufacturer of some of our favorite robotic vacuums and the Q5+ doesn't fail to impress. This is the cheapest model of their auto-empty line. While it may not come with some of the luxurious features (like no-go zones or multi-story memories), it's still an excellent choice if you are willing to make some compromises to save a few bucks.
The Q5+ is exceptionally gentle when it comes to obstacles such as walls and table legs. This makes it a great option for homes with lots of furniture. It is also very thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies. This is a place where many robot vacuums that are less expensive fall short. The technology for navigation in the Q5+ is superb too, with very little missing in corners and along walls.
Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled with the buttons on the device or via the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, design virtual barriers and no-go areas and adjust your home map, or re-label the rooms.
If you opt for the Q5+ model, it ships with a new auto-empty dock that's designed specifically to make this machine easy to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, but once it's installed it can be done without difficulty. It has a large LCD screen that is very useful in setting up schedules and adjusting settings. This isn't a necessity for everyone but it can assist you in keeping the track of your robot's maintenance intervals easily.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a clever well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of both vacuuming and mopping. Its design is among the top in the market however, it's costly.
The base station looks nice and is hidden when it's not in use, and its size is relatively compact. The primary selling point of the station is that it automates many tasks, chores and functions that other robots leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, and then electrolyze and heat the water. The majority of other robots require this.
And its vacuuming is impressive and efficient, too. It's the only robovac that I've used that has done an excellent job of removing dirt from floors that aren't. And it's not as loud as the costly Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.
The Freo X Ultra is not free of faults, especially in the area of navigation. Its laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs. This means it is sometimes stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms of the home. It's also unable to climb stairs like other competitors and doesn't come with a dock to create a clean zone for carpets with plush padding.
Although it doesn't have as much in the way of cleaning options available in its app, or as many shortcuts within the app as other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for those seeking a great all-round mop and vacuum cleaner that's worth the price price.
If you're looking for a way to save money or aren't averse to the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of other options on the market. Many of the eufy models cost substantially less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for example, is cheaper however it comes with more features, such as the ability to climb stairs and a full-function Dock, that provides an improved overall experience when vacuuming on plain floors, low-pile carpets, and even high-pile ones.

Eufy is an Anker company with an established track record of making robot vacuums that have the right balance of features, performance and price. The elegant G30 has its flaws, though. The iRobot Roomba 675 is much better constructed, has lower recurring expenses, charges faster and has a similar battery life, while providing better performance on bare floors and carpets with a low pile. It also comes with a larger dust bin that doesn't have to be emptied as often and comes with the boundaries to keep it away from certain areas. The G30 is less expensive and easier to maintain. Its smaller size means that it doesn't have to be emptied as frequently and it's less difficulty handling bulky products like cereal.
